Adoption subsidy has been a big help for me. I had seven od my own and then adopted my 4 grand children. At 62 with my last adopted grandson (16), I was terminated from my job of 23 yrs. I applied for Medical Asistance, do they use my grandsson's subsidy as income for me and my husband? They did and now with his 300 a month my husband and I donot qualify for the Medical Insurance. We both have Diabetes and won't be able to get our prescriptions without it. I don't think that's fair, can you tell me if they have the right to ake his income into consideration when they take our income into consideration for our application. Could yoiu pleasee get back to me at with any kind of advice, I'm at my wits end and really need your help or some one that can inform me of the laws. I can be reached by e-mail at xxxx.
