I gave up 2 boys when I was 16 and 17. I had tried to take care of the first one but being a ward of the state of Arizona they said since I was a ward of the state sword was he and they put him in the care of my dad and step mom. I would buy him food, juice,clothes and anything else he needed. My step mom would call and tell me she wasn't gonna use any of the stuff I bought him that she only wanted child support from me. One night I went over to drop some stuff off, my dad was passed out drunk on the livingroom floor, my step mom was in bed. I went to check on my son and found his room dead bolted. All I could think about was if there was a fire how many keys would be need for my step mom to get out of her room and into his. So I went to social worker and asked for him to be put in a foster home until I could regain custody and told her about the dead bolts. She told me that I was 17 my step mom was 36 she wouldn't do that and I didn't know what I was talking about. Cont. Next message.

Soi asked if I gave him up for adoption would he be taken out of their home? They said yes immediately. So gave my son up for adoption. So when my second son came before I was 18 I gave him up so he wouldn't have to go through what my first son went through. I gave my baby boy up for adoption he was born 12/09/ 1980 in Cedar Rapids, IA. I had just turned 16 in 10/30/ was to young to take care of my baby boy I think of him every day just want to know how he is and how his life was hope I did good by him thanks for any info last name was Barrett
